New Mexico Pre-K Lead Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and passionate NM Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a dynamic, developmentally appropriate classroom environment aligned with New Mexico Pre-K standards. You’ll design and implement lessons that support language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development for 3- and 4-year-olds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute lesson plans based on NM Pre-K curriculum standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Observe and document children’s progress; conduct developmental assessments
• Communicate regularly with families through conferences and updates
• Maintain compliance with all licensing and FOCUS quality rating standards
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff
• Participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Completion of NM Pre-K-required training
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a preschool classroom
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
